"A point with a vortex field. This type of field can be observed in nature from the drain hole in the bath tub to tornado's and galaxies of billions of stars. The spiral is not a static movement in equal distances but a dynamic progression with rapidly increasing distances between the curves. The painting is in black and white."

Point Effect with Radial Effect

"I recognize the power of a point as a visual energy center of a field. It is like the nuclear power in the atomic world. I was experimenting with radial, circular, ellipsoid and vortex fields of point power.
A single point in an off center position. It is treated as its own center of visual energy, dominating a very large field in a radial manner. The size of the canvas could be considerably larger without demanding another accent for balance. Even a small signature would be intolerable."
