"This composition consists of various mental symbols. This is an indication of a globe, sharp metal, turbulent liquid waves and violently moving flames. Perhaps this was a subconscious allusion to the old concepts of the four elements while in the background an eruption from within the globe representing a newly discovered form of energy. The feeling of this engraving was influenced by the feeling of uncertainty in the world reflected in the different elements of nature.

This is a pure burin engraving on copper and printed in sepia."
